When to send
How to use this template
Use product emails to drive feature adoption among existing users, not to convert new ones. The strongest results come from segmenting by who has not yet used the feature you're announcing and excluding everyone else.
Best practices
- Segment to non-adopters of the specific feature. Sending to your full list dilutes engagement.
- Lead with the user benefit, not the feature name. "Stop losing changes" beats "Introducing autosave".
- Include a 30-second demo gif or video poster. Screenshots in email work; live video does not.
- Make the CTA take the user directly into the feature, not to a marketing landing page.
